Yield: about 2 cups
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. In a small sauce pan or microwave, melt the butter. Pour the butter into a large bowl.
2. Stir in the cocoa powder.
3.With mixer on low speed, alternately add powdered sugar and milk, until combined. Increase mixer speed to medium and beat until smooth and good spreading consistency. If frosting is too thick, add a small amount of additional milk.
4. Stir in vanilla.
